happiness is a box of new crayons!

We could learn a lot
from crayons;
some are sharp,
some are pretty,
some are dull,
while others bright,
some have weird names,
but they all have learned
to live together
in the same box.

Love it!

When I decided to get my doctorate, Bill gave me a heavy-duty backpack (that I still use) that my laptop would fit into, and I supplied it with ruler, pencils, pens--and a box of crayons. It felt so good, that little box of crayons. I was 61.

And some are loved more than others. So they get used up faster. But I'll bet their shorter lives are happy ones, and thanks to new crayon box tech, they can always be just as sharp as their better-rested buddies.

I SOOOO loved getting a new box of 64 Crayolas WITH the built in sharpener every year before school! I didn't really like to color all that much, I just loved having the new crayons!!!

What a happy memory. I was SOOOO excited when I got a BIG box of crayons!!! Of course, I was one of those people who only colored inside the lines, and sky had to be blue, grass green and elephants grey. I am so looking forward to having the time for art lessons again. My first one was in my 30's and I discovered for the first time that I really could draw something more than a stick figure!
