The Power of Truth-Telling

In a room where
people unanimously maintain
a conspiracy of silence,
one word of truth
sounds like a pistol shot.

Czeslaw Miosz

In case you are wondering why I chose this picture - the elephant in the room denotes the conspiracy of silence - until someone speaks the truth. And when you do speak it, watch out! That bullet will richochet off of every wall!
P.S. I sure wouldn't want to clean out this elephant's litter tray.

Roberta,

You find such great pictures to accompany your quotes!! I know a family who operates like this and the quote fits perfectly.

Thanks!

And there is the scary part. As long as the elephant is in the room, the dung will pile up. How long before it covers everyone up?

Love it! There's always a big elephant in the room. We experienced that today!

Perfect--we always talk about the elephant in the living room that we ignore!
