Let Your God Love You

Be silent.
Be still.
Alone.
Empty.
Before your God.
Say nothing.
Ask nothing.
Be silent.
Be still.
Let your God
Look upon you.
That is all.
He knows.
He understands.
He loves you with
An enourmous love.
He only wants to
look upon you
with his love.
Quiet.
Still.
Be.
Let your God - love you.

Let your God love you. Goes along with the mediation for this past week's Wisdom Class:

“A few days before her death in 1906, Elizabeth of the Trinity wrote a note to the prioress of her Carmelite monastery. In it, she kept repeating a phrase that could well be a call to everyone: ‘Let yourself be loved. . . LET yourself be loved. . . LET yourself be loved.’”

Gerald May, The Awakened Heart. San Francisco: HarperSanFrancisco, 1993. 179.
