ACK! I have a problem with any symbols this huge. Recently a non-denom church in our area erected a 110 ft aluminum cross on top of the small hill where they reside. It's so "in your face" and over the top that it almost makes me sad. I'm so not about screaming Christian symbols.
Jayne, i guess the old adage "the bigger the better" comes into play here - my god is bigger than your god?...there is something prideful about it - something intimidating -it's just so not what Jesus was about.......
K, you are too funny! and Roma, i hadn't even noticed the shadowing effect.

Just how long are his legs and yes, it looks like it's going to drop. They did do a great job on his shadowing though.

Sure doesn't look like the Torah! And the look in those eyes. Whoa. I think He's saying, "Where am I ? Help me Father. Boy, my neck is so stiff."
But look at his face…it is as if he is fearing those who are walking below him!
Do you think Jesus would have run around with a Torah? He wouldn't have had a "Bible" so to speak, since it wasn't written yet.
That is weird. I would avoid it/him (?) there.
Doesn't seem to be of much concern to those walking past. I'd be more concerned with the fact that
he never takes a potty break. :>)
Where I live they have a huge Jesus statue with it's arms upraised.
Everyone in town says it's the "Church of the Touchdown"
Go God!
